Andrey Vasiliev

Born June 27, 1979 in Kirovsk, Murmansk Region.

Graduated from Petrozavodsk State University with a degree in Geophysics in 2001.

Andrey Vasiliev was enrolled in MAGE JSC in June 1999 in the Seasonal Complex Geological and Geophysical Team for the period of industrial practice. In February 2001, as a graduated specialist, he was hired as a geophysicist of SCGP.

From 1999 to 2011 he was performing marine geological and geophysical studies onboard research vessels in the Arctic seas, as well as on foreign works in the Mediterranean, Black Sea, North Sea, in the Atlantic Ocean, in the Baffin Sea. During this period, he worked his way up from technician to crew chief.

From 2011 to 2014 he was the head of the Seasonal Complex Geological and Geophysical Party of MAGE JSC. Under his leadership the expedition resumed the production of offshore seismic works using the refracted wave method (RWM).

In 2014 Vasiliev Andrey  as the head of the seasonal expedition staff onboard the R/V “Akademik Fedorov” supervised geological-geophysical works in the expedition “Arktika-2014” to assess the prospects of oil and gas content of the Russian continental shelf. As part of this expedition, comprehensive geological and geophysical research was carried out across the North Pole. The results of this work were included in Russia’s application to the UN Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf to expand its maritime borders in the Arctic Ocean.

Since 2015, Vasiliev A.  was appointed to the position of the Head of Production Department, where he carries out operational management and coordination of field works with the participation of ships and units of MAGE JSC, in interaction with customers on the objects of the State order, as well as with such companies as PJSC Gazprom, PJSC Rosneft Oil Company and their subsidiaries.

А.  Vasiliev has been repeatedly encouraged by the management of MAGE JSC, the administration of the city of Murmansk and the Murmansk region, and has received departmental certificates and awards.
