2D / 3D / 4D-4C seismic exploration with 1C / 2C / 4C bottom equipment

The CRAB system is the product that has been developed entirely in-house by the Marine Technical Center (MTC) company for use in:

  • Offshore survey and multicomponent seismic data recording at a sampling rate of 0.25,
    0.5, 1, 2, and 4 ms.

  • Continuous profiling for 45 days in water 500 m deep.

  • Recording of seismic data from each channel to external 32GB SD storage media.

  • 3D (4C) seismic surveys within offshore areas using a spread defined by the Client and
    delivering a production rate of a few thousand square kilometers.

  • Multicomponent imaging of over 3,000 autonomous ocean-bottom nodes at one point in
    time.


The OBR system designed by OYO Geospace has the following applications:
  • Offshore survey and multicomponent seismic data recording at a sampling rate of 0.25,
    0.5, and 2 ms.

  • Continuous profiling for 30 days in water 300 m deep.

  • Recording of seismic data from each channel to external 4GB SD storage media.

  • Regional studies and 2D CMP or refraction surveys within local structures, offshore
    areas, and the sea-land transition zone with 4C acquisition (Z, X, Y, H).
MAGE provides underwater ultra-short baseline acoustic navigation systems. SONARDYNE and PIKET, to support accurate deployment and positioning of ocean-bottom nodes. While SONARDYNE is an internationally recognized technology, PIKET is a home- made solution for USBL and LBL measurements and real-time position seabed nodes with a large array of transponders.
An acoustic pulse is generated by GI GUN and BOLT sources using a geometry thatstreamlines transition zone, shallow- and deep-water acquisition.
